How we handle personal information

Quantum Accounting (“we”, “our”) is a US-based accounting practice headquartered in San Mateo, California. This policy describes what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Where we handle information about individuals in Japan, we do so in accordance with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) — a Japanese-language version of this policy is available at /ja/privacy.

1. What we collect

  • Contact form: name, email address, company (optional), inquiry type, and your message.
  • Email and scheduling: information you choose to share when you email us or book a call.
  • Site analytics: anonymous, aggregated usage measurement via Vercel Analytics. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

2. How we use it

  • Responding to your inquiry and discussing your engagement.
  • Proposing, entering into, and performing services, and related business communication.
  • Improving our services and this website (anonymized analysis).
  • Complying with legal obligations.

We do not use your information beyond these purposes, and we do not sell personal information.

3. Sharing and processors

We do not share personal information with third parties except as required by law or with your consent. We use the following service providers to operate this site, under their respective data-protection terms:

  • Vercel Inc. (US): website hosting and contact-form processing.
  • Google LLC (US): email and meeting scheduling.

Because we are a US-based practice, information you submit is processed and stored in the United States.

4. Security

We protect personal information with encryption in transit (TLS), least-privilege access, and data minimization — we only collect what we need to respond to you and deliver services.

5. Cookies and analytics

This site does not use marketing cookies or advertising trackers. Our only measurement is cookieless, anonymous analytics (Vercel Analytics), which cannot identify individual visitors.

6. Your rights

7. Changes

We may update this policy as laws or our services change. Material changes will be announced on this page.
